Chart marker

A chart marker is a vertical and a horizontal line marker (straight line) in the chart. The vertical line marker is positioned by a numerical value on the X-axis. The horizontal line marker by a numerical value on the Y-axis. Setting a diagram marker is only possible for XY diagrams.
You can mark an entire area instead of a point by adding a second optional X/Y number value. This applies to both horizontal and vertical line marking.

Property

Description

X-Axis start value

Enter here the numerical value on the X-axis through which the vertical line marker passes. This can be either an integer or a float number.

If this value is not set, then no vertical line marker will be created.

X-Axis end value

Enter the end number value of the X-axis here so that an area is drawn as a marker instead of a line. The marker width is defined by the start value and the end value on the X-axis. The X-axis end value can be both an integer and a float number.

Y-Axis start value

Enter here the numerical value on the Y-axis through which the horizontal line marker passes. The Y-axis start value can be either an integer or a float number.

If this value is not set, then no horizontal line marker will be created.

Y-Axis end value

Enter the end number value of the Y-axis here so that an area is drawn as a marker instead of a line. The marker width is defined by the start value and the end value on the Y-axis. The Y-axis end value can be both an integer and a floati number.

Color

Select the color of the horizontal and vertical line markers here.

Transparency

Enter a float number between 0.0 and 1.0 here that defines the transparency of the line markers. The value 0.0 is the maximum transparency (not visible). The value 1.0 does not represent transparency.
