Attribute creation options
When creating category attributes, different options are displayed depending on the attribute type.
Some of these options can also be enabled or disabled afterwards in the properties of a category attribute.
Option |
Description |
---|---|
Attribute groups | Select here one or more attribute groups in which the attribute will be displayed in the properties. If no attribute group is selected here, the attribute is displayed in the General group. |
Display in report |
The Display in report option displays the attribute of an object in the portal. |
Multiline |
The Multiline option displays the category attribute in the properties as a list. A multiline attribute is intended for larger amounts of text (text box). |

The Multilingual option allows to enter the property value in the attribute in all available languages. This option is available for single-line and multiline attributes, e.g. of type String. For an attribute, one input field is displayed in the properties for each language. |
List |
The List option outputs the values of an attribute in the properties in a list. |
Display in tree |
With the Show in tree option, the attribute values are additionally displayed below the object in the object tree. Requirements: The Show in tree option is available only for attributes of the Model object type and when the List option is enabled. See also: Chapter Show property in the model overview. |
Show group node |
The Show group node option displays the attribute in the object tree as a group node, with the attribute values below it (instead of directly below the object). Requirements: The Group node option is available only for attributes of the Model object type and when the List and Show in tree options are enabled. |
Allow references |
The Allow add references option allows existing objects to be referenced as attribute values in the object's attribute list. |
Allow new objects |
The Allow new objects option allows to create and assign new objects as attribute values to the object's attribute list. |
