Default values for attributes
You can define default values for category attributes. You set default values in the properties of a category attribute. The category attribute then outputs the specified value by default. You can adjust the default value continuously.
Default values at:
-
single and multi-line text fields: here you can enter any text. For example, you can define a default value for documents in the Filename attribute, which all newly created documents automatically adopt.
-
Object references: here you can enter the GUID of the object that should be referenced by default.
-
multi-valued object references: here you can enter a list of GUIDs (separated by semicolons) of the objects that should be referenced by default.
-
Selection lists: here you can enter the position of the value from the value list (starting at 0).
Note: The default values apply only to newly created objects and do not have an impact on values of existing objects.
