Configure sequences

In the editor of the network diagram profile, you can change the order in which the context object and the attributes are displayed in the network diagrams of a specific category in the Attributes level 1 and Attributes level 2 columns.

Drag & drop the element in the respective column to the desired position to change the order:

Sequence for first-level attributes

In the Attributes level 1 column, you can configure the order in which the context object and the attributes of the first level are visualized in the network diagram for a category.

Example: For the Role category, you configure the context object to be displayed below the assigned employees.

Instructions:

  1. Select a category

  2. Use drag & drop to change the order of the elements in the Attributes level 1 column

  3. To close the editor and apply the change, click Save:

Result:

Attributes of the first level and the context object are displayed in the configured order in the network diagram.

Sequence for second-level attributes

In the Attributes level 2 column, you can configure the order in which second-level attributes are displayed in the network diagram.

Example: You configure the Assigned employees attribute so that the Assigned organizational unit is displayed below the Location.

Note: Second-level attributes are displayed in the network diagram directly on the shape of the first-level attribute to which they are linked via the network diagram profile.

  1. Select a category

  2. Select an attribute in the Attributes level 1 column

  3. Change the order of the elements in the column using drag & drop in the Attributes level 2 column

  4. To close the editor and apply the change, click Save:

Result:

Attributes of the second are arranged in the configured order above or below the attribute to which they are directly linked via the network diagram profile in the network diagram, depending on the position of the context object.

Shape arrangement

The shape of the context object forms the main node in the network diagram. The lines that start from the shapes of the second-level attributes run to the shape of the first-level attribute, to which they are directly linked. The line runs from the shape of the first-level attribute to the context object. The shapes of the context object and the first-level attributes are arranged in the network diagram in the order from top to bottom, as configured in the Attributes level 1 column in the editor. However, the order from the Attributes level 1 column in the editor is decisive for the arrangement of the shapes of second-level attributes in the network diagram.

First-level attribute above context object

If the first-level attribute has been sorted above the context object, all shapes of a linked second-level attribute are displayed above the first-level shapes. The sequence in the Attributes level 2 column is then visualized in the network diagram from bottom to top.

First-level attribute under context object

If the first-level attribute has been sorted under the context object, all shapes of a linked second-level attribute are displayed below the first-level shapes. The sequence in the Attributes level 2 column is then visualized in the network diagram from top to bottom.
