Swimlanes
Swimlanes represent the responsible persons and participants in a process. Swimlanes are represented in BPMN diagrams as vertical or horizontal lanes, in which the shapes are grouped according to those responsible.
Swimlanes can also be displayed without a pool.
Groupings
In BPMN diagrams you can show and hide swimlanes. If the swimlanes are displayed, the shapes in them are grouped according to the selected responsible person. If there is no responsible person for a shape in the selected grouping, the shape is displayed outside the swimlanes.
Show and hide swimlanes:
The shapes can be grouped by the following groupings:
-
None: Swimlanes are hidden
-
Responsible: Shapes are grouped according to the roles assigned in the responsible property
-
Accountable: Shapes are grouped according to the roles assigned in the accountable property
-
Consulted: Shapes are grouped according to the roles assigned in the consulted property
-
Information/informed: Shapes are grouped according to the roles assigned in the information property
-
IT systems: Shapes are grouped according to the assigned IT system
-
Operational process responsibility: Shapes are grouped according to the assigned operational process manager
In addition to the selected grouping, further information stored in the shapes can be displayed in additional swimlanes (attribute lanes).
