Label connector

You can label the connectors between shapes. You can use labels, for example, to indicate the conditions for decisions.

Instruction:

1. Select a connector in the WebModeller in the diagram

2. In the properties in the General area via the End Text and Start Text properties you can label the connector:

   

Result:

You can move the label by dragging and dropping.

You can adjust the layout of the label in the properties of the connector under Drawing settings.

Display connector label on/above line

In diagrams, you can use the Edge labels on line property to set whether the connector label is displayed on or above the line:

Define standard labels for connectors

For BPMN diagrams, you can customize the default texts of connectors. You can make the adjustment in the SystemAdministration in the Schema area.

Instruction:

1. Open the SystemAdministration and navigate in the Schema area to System categories | System categories | Relationship

   

2. Select the category attribute End Text or Start Text and open its properties

3. In the General section, in the Default value property, enter the default label for the connector text:

   

Result:

In BPMN diagrams, connectors that you create have the default labels.
