Filter variant comparison
To narrow down or expand the changes displayed in the variant comparison, you can filter the variant comparison. You can show and hide the filter options in the dialog of the variant comparison via the gearwheel symbol in the menu bar:

Levels in comparison |
Use this option to set how many structural levels of the objects are displayed in the comparison. Three levels can be set: Level 1 = only the level of the selected object |
Compare only structural changes |
With this option, only objects whose structure has changed are displayed in the comparison. |
Show details of added objects |
With this option the children of added objects are displayed in the comparison. |
Show details of removed objects |
With this option the children of removed objects are displayed in the comparison. |
Show unchanged child objects |
With this option, children that have not been modified are also displayed in the comparison. |
Show unchanged attributes |
With this option, attributes that have not been changed are also displayed in the comparison. |
Compare system objects |
System objects, such as users, ACL, etc., are displayed in comparison. |
Master |
This option is displayed only if the object is versioned. This option allows you to select a specific version of the master object. |
Variant |
This option is displayed only if the object is versioned. This option allows you to select a specific version of the variant. |
Common Base |
This option allows you to select another version of the master object in addition to a version of the variant. If you select a common base, then the differences that exist between the version of the master object and the version of the common base are filtered in the structure tree. Only these differences are compared with the variant. |
Declare "object1" to be a copy of "object2" |
These buttons are displayed only when comparing two objects that are not variants of each other and at least one of which is versioned. Using the buttons you can declare an object to be a copy (variant) of the second object (master). |
