Users Anonymous and Guest

The users Anonymous and Guest are standard users in Aeneis.

Anonymous

The Anonymous user is the default user for the Portal, which has the following characteristics:

  • This user is an anonymous system user.

  • With this user anonymous sessions without login are possible, in which shared Portal content is visible.

Note: By default, the Allow anonymous session property is disabled in the SystemAdministration on the Portal report. Therefore, when Aeneis is started, a login dialog appears in which the user must authenticate him/herself. If this property is enabled, there will be no login dialog upstream when starting Aeneis. The user is then logged into the Portal as user Anonymous.

  • It has no password and no password can be assigned for it.

  • His account cannot be blocked.

  • The user cannot be deleted.

  • This user is a member of the Guests group and the membership cannot be removed.

Guest

The Guest user is a default user for the Portal with the following characteristics:

  • This user is an anonymous system user.

  • Any user can log in to the Portal as a Guest using this user's login credentials.

  • A password can be assigned for him.

  • This account may be locked.

  • This user cannot be deleted.

  • This user can see released Portal content.

  • This user is a member of the Guests group and the membership cannot be removed.
