Collaborative processes

Collaborative processes, also called global processes, describe the interaction of a private process with other processes. The private subprocesses are displayed with all details as well as the other process with which the process interacts.

Both pools are displayed with all details. To show interactions between the pools, you can connect the shapes as usual or drag and drop a connector between activities and pools with the Shift key pressed.

The connectors between the pools are shown with dashed lines and only when the diagrams are displayed horizontally.

In the properties of the diagram, the process type is displayed under BPMN | Process Type. Here you can also set the process type manually:

Note: If the referenced, open process is changed, the original process is also changed.
