Define different connector inputs and outputs for each drawing

You can define different or the same inputs and outputs for the connectors of a diagram. You can make the setting in the properties of the diagram.

Note: You can also set the properties for the connectors' inputs and outputs globally for all diagrams. You make this global setting in the SystemAdministration. See chapter Define different connector inputs and outputs for all new drawings globally.

Target:

In the following example, a separate connector is to go out directly from Shape Process 1 for each of Process 2, Process 3 and Process 4. Only one connector currently emanates from Process 1. At a node, the connector is divided into three other connectors.

Instruction:

  1. Open a BPMN diagram in the WebModeller

  2. Open the properties of the diagram

  3. In the Layout area, activate the Use separate ports property:

  4. Apply the setting with Save

Result:

The shape Process 1 has one output each for Process 2, Process 3 and Process 4.
