Data protection incidents

According to the GDPR, data breaches must be reported to the supervisory authority. You can use the Data Protection app to record data protection incidents with all the details and send them to the responsible authority as a print report.

Create data protection incident

You create data protection incidents on the homepage of the Data Protection app via the corresponding quickstart.

Instructions:

1. Navigate to the homepage of the Data Protection app

2. Click on the quickstart Create data protection incident

3. Use the form to enter the key data on the data protection incident:

   

   Note: The form fields marked with * are required.

4. Click on Record new data protection incident in the form

Results:

• The data protection incident was created.

• Various drop-down views allow you to view the object from different perspectives.

• The data protection incident has the status Data protection incident Basic data recorded. You can now enter further details using the data protection incident workflow.

• You can manage the data protection incident centrally with the other data protection incidents in the All data protection incidents dashboard.
