Reminder emails
You use reminder emails in transitions to send users an email on a specific date. This allows you to remind users to process the transition when a workflow has a long runtime.
Note: Unlike the escalation email, a reminder email is sent only once.
Example: In the standard release workflow, the releaser of the version receives an email with a reminder that the release is pending and the link to the workflow.
Note: The same velocity macro variables are used for reminder emails as for the escalation email. See chapter Escalation emails.
Configure reminder emails
The reminder email is created as an email object below the respective transition. In the properties of the object you define that the email is sent as a reminder email.
See also: How to specify further contents (templates) and functions of email objects is described in Properties of the object Email / message.
With the Reminder date attribute you determine when the reminder email will be sent. This attribute is available in the Improvement suggestion category.
When you configure the Reminder date attribute in a transition as a Visible attribute, it is displayed in the transition's form. If a reminder date is set in this attribute when the transition is executed, a reminder email is automatically sent on that date.
