Rule validation for BPMN diagrams
In the WebModeller you can use the rule validation when modeling BPMN diagrams. If the rule validation is activated, the BPMN diagram is checked for programmed and configurable BPMN 2.0 rules. If a rule has been violated, a construction symbol is displayed at the corresponding position in the diagram:

Programmed and configurable rules
In Aeneis, there are programmed and configurable rules for the validation of BPMN diagrams.
Programmed rules:
Programmed rules are included in the delivery state and cannot be edited.
Example: The error message If end events are used, at least one start event must exist is a programmed rule that cannot be configured or deactivated individually.

Configurable rules:
You can find and create configurable rules at SystemAdministration in the Default BPMN diagram profile under Rules. In the delivery state, you will also find preconfigured rules that you can customize.

Activate rule validation for a BPMN diagram profile
You can switch the entire rule validation on and off via the properties of the Default BPMN diagram profile:

You can activate or deactivate configurable rules individually, e.g. via the context menu:
