Import fact sheet types

By default, fact sheets of the Application and Interface types are imported from LeanIX into the Applications attribute of the LeanIX folder. You can also import additional fact sheet types. To do this, create a category attribute for each fact sheet type in the LeanIX Folder category. The fact sheets of this type are then synchronized in this attribute.

Voraussetzung: The LeanIX interface is configured in the schema. For more information, see Configure LeanIX interface.

Assign fact sheet type

To import a fact sheet type, assign it to a category attribute of the LeanIX Folder category in the schema. The category attribute also determines the category with which the imported objects are created in Aeneis.

Instructions:

  1. Open the SystemAdministration

  2. Navigate in the schema to System categories | EAM | LeanIX Folder

  3. In the LeanIX Folder category, create a category attribute of type Model object for the fact sheet type and enable the List and Allow to create new objects options

Hinweis: If the Allow to create new objects option is not enabled, the category attribute is ignored during synchronization.

Hinweis: The category attribute must be created directly in the LeanIX Folder category. Inherited attributes are not taken into account.

  4. In the short name of the category attribute, enter the key of the fact sheet type, e.g. BusinessCapability

Hinweis: Enter the key exactly as it is used in LeanIX.

  5. In the category attribute, under Allowed categories, reference the category with which the imported objects are to be created in Aeneis

Hinweis: If several categories are referenced under Allowed categories, new objects are created with the first category.

Hinweis: Ideally, use a separate category for each fact sheet type. The settings in steps 6 and 7 apply to all objects of the category, including objects that do not originate from LeanIX.

  6. (Optional) Also reference the category from step 5 in the Recycle bin attribute of the LeanIX Folder category so that objects that have been deleted or archived in LeanIX are moved to the recycle bin in Aeneis.

Hinweis: By default, the category is not referenced in the Recycle bin attribute. If the category is not referenced in the recycle bin, these objects are deleted in Aeneis.

  7. (Optional) To map the parent-child relationships from LeanIX in the model tree, navigate in the schema to the category you referenced in step 5. There, in the category attribute for child objects (schema attribute children), reference the same category under Allowed categories. Otherwise, all objects of the fact sheet type are created on one level in the category attribute.

Hinweis: The label of this category attribute differs from category to category. In the SmartDoc category, for example, it is called Chapter, and in the LeanIX Folder category, Applications.

Hinweis: If the category does not have such a category attribute, copy the Applications (children) attribute from the LeanIX Folder category to the category and replace the referenced categories there under Allowed categories with the category itself.

Result:

During the next synchronization, the fact sheets of the assigned type are imported from LeanIX into the category attribute of the LeanIX folder. Applications and interfaces continue to be synchronized in the Applications attribute.

Hinweis: If you restrict the import using Required tags, conditions without a fact sheet type only apply to applications and interfaces. For additional fact sheet types, enter a separate condition with the fact sheet type. For more information, see LeanIX Synchronization.
