Release notes for Aeneis 7.6.4 (Patch)

Here you will find the release notes for Aeneis 7.6.4 (Patch).

Bug fixes

Tables from the cache showed incomplete content

If the Preload all objects and Load from cache options were enabled for a table and relevant content was created or changed, certain column contents were subsequently missing. The table was only displayed completely after it was rebuilt via Refresh.

Objects in the WebModeller could not be deleted using the Delete key

If no diagram was open yet in the WebModeller, objects selected in the model tree could not be deleted using the Delete key.

Incorrect display in the version history with an active substitution rule

If the Parallel execution option and a substitution rule were active for transitions at the same time, it was not displayed correctly who had executed the transition.

Database connection to Azure SQL was interrupted

If a Microsoft SQL Server database was used in Azure with an encrypted connection, the database connection was interrupted after a few hours following an update to Aeneis 7.6.3, and the Portal was no longer accessible.

Errors when displaying diagram versions in the Portal

Errors occurred when displaying diagrams in the Portal if the start parameter -Daeneis.disableQS1629=true was set. For example, only the working draft of the diagram was displayed, even when a version was open.

Changes to diagrams were lost when saving

In certain scenarios, saving in the WebModeller overwrote a newer state of the diagram with an older one, so that previously saved changes such as comments were lost. An outdated state is no longer saved, and a notification appears in the WebModeller.

Co-versioned objects were only visible with write permissions

If a co-versioned object was no longer included in a later version of the main object, its version was incorrectly considered expired. As a result, users without write permissions could no longer see these objects.

Error in reference searches in very deep object structures

If a recursive reference search ran through very deep object structures, an error occurred that caused the server log to grow significantly. The recursion depth of reference and diagram searches is now limited. When the limit is reached, a warning appears in the server log.

Content not displayed in the correct language

After the language was changed in the Portal, some content was still displayed in the previously set language in certain scenarios.

Wildcard * returned different search results

The search returned different results depending on whether the * wildcard was used at the beginning or end of the search term or not at all. The wildcard now has no effect at the beginning or end of a search term.

Org charts and network diagrams were not updated when the cache was disabled

If the cache option for org charts or network diagrams was subsequently disabled in the database properties, the Portal may have displayed a cached state of the respective diagram.

Improvements

LeanIX interface optimized

The LeanIX interface has been optimized as follows:

  • Import of additional fact sheet types, including custom ones, along with their parent-child relationships

  • Sorting of imported objects according to the rules of the import language

  • Restriction of the export to LeanIX to selected categories

  • Required tags per fact sheet type

  • Transfer of formatting in descriptions in both directions

  • Consideration of the hierarchy levels allowed in LeanIX when exporting processes

  • Link to the fact sheet in LeanIX in the Filename attribute of imported objects. Any existing value in this attribute is overwritten.

Voice input in the dialog box for improving AI-generated processes

Suggestions for improvement in the Keep, improve, or delete AI Process dialog box can now also be dictated via voice input.

Sandbox for Velocity macros

Velocity macros are now executed in a sandbox that logs or blocks unauthorized access attempts via Java reflection. By default, such access attempts are only logged. To block them, the Velocity macro sandbox option in the server settings must be set to Enforce.

Validity period for passwords of database users

For individual database users, it is now possible to specify that their password expires after a certain period of time. Once it has expired, the password must be changed at the next login.

Logins to the REST API are now rejected if the password has expired or does not comply with the password policies.

Keep unsent emails during raw data import

When a database is created from a raw data export in the ServerAdministration, all emails that have not yet been sent in the imported database are deleted by default. With the new Keep unsent e-mails option, they are retained.

Readability of attribute lanes optimized

In vertically aligned BPMN diagrams, the width of attribute lanes now adapts to the content. If a cell contains several entries, each entry is marked with a bullet point in vertical and horizontal orientation as well as in the print report.
